This program is specifically run for the Port Dension Sailing Club to send a team / teams to the Southern heat of the North Queensland Team Racing Program,

Townsville Sailing Club,  Saturday 14th March 2020.

And also the finals as Tinaroo Sailing Club, Sunday 29th March 2020. Performance at the Townsville event does not qualify / disqualify any team from attending the Tinaroo Finals.

This program will provide an introduction to teams racing on Wednesday 11th March, and two further training sessions on Wednesday 17th and 25th March  prior to attending the finals on the 29th.

The heat in Townsville take place in club supplied pacer dinghies (or similar). Helm and crew combinations need to be formed. The training will be conducted in laser 4.7s or double handed boats as availabile in variying formats based on numbers and boat availability. As such, if 4.7s are to be used, crews are advised to take part in theory sessions and to spectate, however on water participation is not practical.

Note: this program covers the training and preperation of the team only. Entry fees for the team, travel accomodation and meals are excluded from this program. Pending interest, constitution of teams and abilities, members of the team may be allocated particular roles, (helms, crews, reseveres) and while the manager / coach will do the best they can to ensure everyone has a turn to display their qualities, there maybe team members who have less time on water than other members. All memebers will be assessed on their ability to support the team in all roles and work together.
