Youth Sail QLD 2021

Nine of our PDSC sailors attended the 2021 Youth Sail QLD. There were 200 competitors from across QLD competing in the 11 fleets. The weather gave our young sailors the chance to deepen their skills across all conditions.

Jack, Luke and Bella were very fortunate to be able to work with Mara Stransky, Brady Lowe and Grant Willmott during the Camp. Their fleet of 26 sailors were very competitive which made the race days very exciting! Jack placed 3rd, Bella placed 4th (First Girl) and Luke placed 14th. 

Reid competed in the Intermediate Optis. He came away with the 2021 Intermediate Optimist State Champ title. Reid competed against 20 sailors from across the State. He really dug in deep on his final day and showed super strength to get out on the water. Well done Reid! 

Jasper, Hayden, Hannah, Alex & Rory sailed in the Green Fleet at the Causeway. They completed a series of 12 races over the three days of competition. There were 46 sailors, broken into two groups for the Green Fleet. Jasper placed 5th, Hayden 7th, Hannah 16th and Alex 17th.
